I have got a summer ball to go to but want to be able to wear the dress again. What do you suggest?

 A ball will dictate a formal dress but nowadays the length of the dress can vary.  Dresses do not need to be floor length just as long as they cover your knees.  Opting for a ¾ length dress will allow you to wear it more often. This style dress although formal could be worn out for a special meal or even Christmas party. An A-line or full skirt on a dress can be more dramatic but is limiting on being work again.
